Plates and bowls monogrammed “F.D.”

When Théophile Diederichs (1832-1901) built his first weaving mill in Bourgoin in 1871-72, he included a dormitory, a refectory, a kitchen and a school for 35 students. His son Frédéric presided over the company’s board of directors between 1920 and 1935. His initials appear on the refectory tableware.
