Ultrasound-bonded shirt

Velvet skirt with gold thread

Ultrasound can be used to achieve seamless construction, i.e. without needle or thread.
For this process, the fabric must be at least 60% synthetic.

Ultrasonic vibrations melt the two layers of fabric together to bond them. This technique makes it possible to achieve very precise and contemporary designs. This process was originally developed for lingerie and sportswear and is now being used in the luxury sector.

This piece demonstrates the precision of the technique with a shirt made from a material which is ultra-stretch, anti-UV, wrinkle-proof and quick-drying.

It is accompanied by a velvet skirt with gold thread, hand-woven on a 19th century jacquard loom with gold thread.
